About Us

Who We are

RMJ Electrical Contractors, Inc. was founded by Rodney M. Jarrell on February 26, 1997. At its inception, the company's entire focus was to perform tenant improvement (T.I.) electrical work. As the organization has grown, its areas of expertise have as well. Although the company will always maintain its share of the T.I. market, today the team works on more diverse types of electrical projects. These projects include new construction, design build, industrial, medical facilities, churches, schools, solar, redundant power and distribution/warehouse facilities. RMJ has undergone steady controlled growth during the first 20 years. RMJ is consistently listed in the Top 5 of Arizona Business Magazine's "Ranking Arizona".

Since 1997, RMJ Electrical Contractors, Inc. has been providing unparalleled service to a select group of customers. The company management has largely remained unchanged since that time. Our responsiveness and attention to detail has created lasting relationships. Above all, our core values have held us to a standard our clients have come to expect with each project, and we are happy to deliver.

Mission statement

Our focus is on doing excellent electrical work for a select group of customers. This demands that we hire proficient project managers, foremen, electricians, and ready to learn apprentices. These dedicated employees through a continuous safety and electrical training program will create an electrical company equaled by none. RMJ will support these employees with incentives in order to keep them, and provide the service to our customers they deserve. This saves the client money and increases our profit, which is shated with our employees, completing the cycle.

What Makes Us Different

Relationships
RMJ was built on and thrives today due to solid relationships. We foster these relationships by providing the attentive, result oriented service our clients have come to expect from us project after project and year after year.



Quality People
We only send out knowledgeable (drug tested) individuals, from helper to foreman. These people are carefully screened by RMJ to protect our clients.



Quality Supervision
Knowledgeable Project Managers, Foreman and Service Technicians that have worked their way through the trade, supervise all electrical installations and stay in direct contact with the customer. We only hire supervisors that have excellent reputations with electrical inspectors, contractors and electrical engineers.



Safety and Training Program
All employees complete a two hour safety indoctrination when they are hired. Periodic training ensures that all field personnel are OSHA 10 hour certified at a minimum. The National Electrical code is also taught in house along with local codes and lessons learned from our more experienced employees.



Quick estimating and budget pricing
Staying current with technology helps RMJ budget and price projects quicker. This expedited pricing for bids and preliminary budgets provide value to our customer. We utilize the Accubid Electrical Estimating system and receive electronic material updates frequently.



Timely Materials
Through the years we have developed an excellent relationship with our distributors, manufacturers and representatives of the fixtures, switchgear and electrical materials we need to bring the jobs in on time and within budget. Our purchasing department is run by a very knowledgeable Purchasing Agent that utilizes a customized purchasing system.



Efficient Installation
We understand that time is money. We continually meet or beat client deadlines by doing the work right the first time.



Continuing Service
Once the project is complete, RMJ is still a partner. RMJ has committed to service after the sale by developing a 24/7 service department to respond to any client need at any hour.
